Privacy notice
Effective 2 November 2026
CurlyCorn LLC ("we") runs this website. Unhunch is an app in development. This website shows what we are building and lets you join the early-access list. This notice explains what happens with the data you give us here.
What we collect
- Your email address, if you join the early-access list.
- An optional source tag (for example which link brought you here), the page variant you signed up on, and the time you signed up.
- Anonymous visit statistics (see "Visit statistics" below).
We do not store your IP address with your signup, and we set no cookies. To slow down abuse, the server instance that handles your request counts signup attempts per IP address in memory for ten minutes; nothing from this is written to the database. Our hosting provider processes your IP address and request data to deliver and secure the site and keeps short-lived technical logs. When you submit the form, Vercel BotID, part of our hosting provider's service, checks technical signals from your browser for signs of automation, so that scripts cannot fill the list.
Why, and on what legal basis
- Early-access list: to invite you to the beta, to send you your waitlist offer at launch, and to send one or two updates before then. The legal basis is your consent when you join (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time through the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us; this does not affect what we did before.
- Delivering and securing the site, including the abuse limit and the bot check above: our legitimate interest in running a working, secure website and an early-access list without fake signups (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Visit statistics: our legitimate interest in knowing how many people visit and which links bring them (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Visit statistics
We count visits with Plausible Analytics, an open-source tool that runs on a server we operate. It sets no cookies and stores no personal data. To tell visitors apart for one day, it combines your IP address and browser type with a random value that changes every day and keeps only the result; your IP address itself is not stored. We see totals only: pages viewed, the referring site or campaign tag, country, browser and device type, and how many visitors joined the list. The signup count never contains your email address.
Who processes it
The website runs on Vercel and signups are stored in a MongoDB database operated for us by MongoDB Atlas; both process the data only on our behalf. We do not sell your address or share it with anyone else. We use no third-party services that track your activity across websites, so browser Do Not Track signals change nothing here.
Where
We are a company in the United States, and your data is processed in the United States and in other countries where our providers run their servers. For data from the EU, the UK or Switzerland, our providers rely on the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework or on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long
We keep your address while the early-access list runs. We delete it when you unsubscribe or ask us to, or when the list closes. Visit statistics are kept as totals that contain no personal data.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you, correct, delete or export the data we hold about you, to restrict or object to its use, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Email support@unhunchapp.com; we answer within one month. If you live in the EU, the UK or Switzerland, you can also complain to your data protection authority.
Children
This website is not directed to anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We post changes to this notice here and update the effective date above.
The app
This notice covers this website. The app will have its own privacy notice when the beta opens.
